Individualized Learning

At EYLE, we tutor at three levels of Literacy and Essential Skills. Essential skills include those associated with literacy (i.e. reading, writing, document use, and numeracy) but also go beyond to include critical thinking, oral communication, digital skills, and collaboration.

These skills are used in nearly every job and throughout daily life in varying levels of complexity; they provide the foundation for learning all other skills and enable people to prepare for and attain meaningful employment.

Our one-on-one tutoring programs are individualized to each learner’s goals and gaps in skills. Generally, our tutors specialize in reading and writing, numeracy (including financial literacy and essential mathematics), as well as digital literacy (such as smartphone or computer use, online job applications, Microsoft 365 and other programs).

Flexible hours

Our tutors are available weekdays (Monday – Friday) and 2 evenings (Mondays and Tuesdays). Our location is wheelchair accessible.
