Each quarter, we offer Smartphone Basics and Computer Basics courses in small-class sessions at our East York office. With 2 facilitators and up to 6 students, learners will familiarize themselves with foundational digital literacy skills. These classes are 2 hours in length, offered in 4 or 6-week long sessions. Registration is required.

We are launching a new class: Computer Literacy Level II
Our first Computer Basics Level II class will run from June 3rd to June 24th. Registration details coming soon.
Topics covered in our Computer Literacy Basics (6 weeks) class include:
✔ Learn basic computer terms and functions e.g. surfing the web
✔ Navigate the desktop, folders, and files
✔ Use programs like email and Word
✔ Stay safe online with smart internet habits
Topics covered in our Smartphone Basics (4 weeks) class include:
✔ Learn how to use touchscreens and basic phone features
✔ Make calls, send texts, and add contacts
✔ Connect to Wi-Fi and use mobile data wisely
✔ Use essential apps like camera, maps, and email
NEW: Computer Literacy Level 2 (4 weeks):
✔ Create and edit documents in Word and Google Docs
✔ Make simple spreadsheets in Excel and Google Sheets
✔ Use email, calendars, & cloud storage (Outlook & Gmail)
✔ Share and collaborate using Google Drive and OneDrive
