Ontario Ombudsman – The Ombudsman is an independent, impartial office of the Legislature that resolves and investigates complaints about Ontario government organizations, broader public sector bodies, including municipalities, universities and school boards, child protection services, and compliance with the French Language Services Act.

Employment Ontario Partners Gateway – This site provides information to support current Employment Ontario partner organizations delivering Employment Ontario programs and services.

Metro Toronto Movement for Literacy – Metro Toronto Movement for Literacy, also known as MTML, is a network of organizations and individuals supporting adult literacy in Toronto and York Region. MTML works with 33 Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) agencies operating at over 100 locations in the City of Toronto and York Region.

Community Literacy of Ontario – Community Literacy of Ontario (CLO) is a provincial literacy network that serves English language, community-based Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) agencies located in communities, large and small, across the province of Ontario.

Laubach Literacy Ontario (LLO) – A provincial network supporting community-based literacy programs in Ontario with training, resources, and advocacy.

Alpha Plus Centre – Alpha Plus Centre is the gateway for resources on adult literacy and language learning in Ontario. Their primary focus is to facilitate communication and provide forums for discussions and materials to practitioners, tutors, volunteers, researchers and organizations working in the fields of adult literacy and language learning. Their clientele includes the Francophone, Anglophone, Deaf, Native, and second language learning communities in Ontario.

Independent Learning Centre – ILC is part of the Ontario Ministry of Education and Training, and it offers correspondence courses in a wide range of courses that allow adults to earn secondary school diploma credits, upgrade their basic skills, or study for personal development. As well, the Ministry’s General Education Development (GED) testing program is available through ILC.

ABC Life Literacy Canada – ABC Life Literacy Canada is a national charitable organization that champions literacy by empowering adult learners, raising awareness, and supporting the adult learning sector. We develop and support the use of foundational learning materials and help to build the capacity of the sector by convening and connecting the adult literacy community, and advocating for skills programming.

Toronto Public Library – The Adult Literacy Program offers free, one-on-one tutoring in basic reading, writing and math for English-speaking adults 19 years or older

Toronto Catholic District School Board – The Toronto Catholic District School Board is an English-language public-separate school board for Toronto, Ontario, Canada, headquartered in North York. It is one of the two English boards of education serving the city of Toronto.

Toronto District School Board – The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) is the largest and one of the most diverse school boards in Canada. They serve approximately 239,000 students in 579 schools throughout Toronto, and more than 100,000 life-long learners in our Adult and Continuing Education programs. 

PTP – PTP Adult Learning and Employment Programs, run by a Toronto-based non-profit, provides a range of free programs and services to help adults improve their skills, gain employment, and pursue further education. These programs focus on building foundational literacy, academic upgrading, and digital skills, tailored for those 18 and older. They offer support for job searching, career planning, and even on-the-job training, with a focus on creating a supportive learning environment.

Prosper Canada – Financial tools and training to help low-income Canadians improve money management.

Job Bank Canada – Job Bank is Canada’s national employment service, available as a website and mobile app. They help Canadians find work and plan their careers, and we make it easier for employers to recruit and hire across the country.

Ontario.ca Jobs – A website dedicated to employment opportunities within the Ontario Public Service (OPS). It is the main platform for searching and applying for jobs within the Ontario government.

Indeed – Is a platform where job seekers can find employment opportunities and employers can post job openings and find suitable candidates. Indeed Canada functions by aggregating job postings from various sources, including company websites and other job boards, and making them accessible to users in Canada. 

LinkedIn Jobs – LinkedIn Jobs is a recruiting tool that allows companies to post job openings and reach a large network of job seekers. It’s a part of the LinkedIn platform, which is primarily used for professional networking and career development. Free account required.

Monster Canada – The Canadian website for Monster, a global online employment website and career platform. It connects job seekers with employers and provides resources for both. Monster.ca allows job seekers to search for jobs, create a profile, and upload their resumes. Employers can use the site to post job openings and find suitable candidates.

Workopolis – Workopolis is a free job posting site in Canada that advertises jobs in both English and French. The site was acquired by Indeed in 2018, so Workopolis users can also post job vacancies on Indeed for free.

Jobs.ca – Jobs.ca is a Canadian job posting platform that has several mirror sites that are divided up by industry and sector, affording the benefits of niche websites coordinated through one central portal. 

Charity Village – CharityVillage is a career resource to over 170,000 charitable and nonprofit organizations across Canada. They offer paid job postings and free volunteer listings as well as nonprofit & charitable sector resources and e-Learning courses.

Employment Ontario – Helping job seekers, workers and employers with advice, grants and other services around public and private sector employment.

Volunteer Toronto – Volunteer Toronto is Canada’s largest volunteer centre, with over 50 years of experience connecting volunteers to the organizations that need them.

Homeward Bound – Woodgreen – Homeward Bound is an innovative program that supports homeless or inadequately housed single mothers to earn college diplomas, start careers and achieve financial self-sufficiency. Unique in Canada, this four-year education and employment program provides intensive wrap-around services that eliminate the barriers that single mothers face in trying to move out of poverty.
